“Post-Entertainment” single released worldwide today

My My Sugar announced the worldwide release of their new single, “Post-Entertainment” today.

The song marks the start of a new release cycle for the band, leading up to their full-length album, coming this fall.

Frontman Ben Pelchat had a few words to say on the track: “We’re proud to share ‘Post-Entertainment’ with the world. The song speaks to the evolving state of technology and its impact on our society. It paints a picture of a youth caught in the grasp of something new, mysterious, alluring, and powerful. Post-Entertainment. It’s paid for with our human energy. The song is a wake-up call to use wisdom as we move towards a future ever more intertwined with AI.”

My My Sugar to release new single, “Post-Entertainment” on March 24th, 2023.

My My Sugar is set to release “Post-Entertainment“, the band’s first official single since 2021’s “No Control” on March 24th.

“Post-Entertainment” will be the first in a series of singles from their upcoming full-length studio album release, due later this year.

The song is a dark and crescendoing anthem, commencing with an ominous synth bass line, leading into a full blown sonic-assault by bass player Mark Rynkun. Guitarist Josh MacIntosh follows with ambient textures and hard-edged fuzz guitar, as he battles synth textures underneath. The song builds into a soaring anthemic-rock crescendo as Ben Pelchat’s lyrics hint at a cautionary tale of humans intertwining with AI, as he sings overtop of a robotic backing vocal.
